With Mobile World Congress 2016 expo underway, Gionee has launched the flagship Gionee S8 with high-end specs.

Gionee has announced the launch of the Gionee S8, which is the company’s latest flagship smartphone with a full metal body and fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button. The device has a 5.5 inch AMOLED display with 3D touch, 2.5D arc glass, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the octa core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.

The Gionee S8 has a 16 MP rear facing laser auto focus camera with f/1.8 aperture, RWB technology, 6P lenses, PDAF and LED flash. There is also a front facing 8 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Marshmallow version with a 3000 mAh battery. The handset is available in Rose Gold, Grey and Gold colour options and is priced at 449 Euros
